  1. They suck.  Even though they are affordable, don't get them.  Pioneer is better for head units and some of their speakers.

  2. the pioneers you are talking about are trash.  My friend has them in his toyota and it is very very weak.  However, the ones that the guy recommended for $30 more, the championships, they are very nice.  I had a pair of those and, hooked up with the right amp, can give you more than enough bass to satisfy your needs.  Never go with Pioneer, always Pioneer Premier, or championship.  Hope this helped.

  3. go get some more expensive subs that are used.

  5. They are ok.  They are kind of lower end.  Depends on what kind of sound you are looking for and the kind of amps you may have already.  Do you have a plan?  If you have amps already what kind?  And are they enough, not enough, or more than enough to power those pioneers?

Also if you dont have an amp, this is a good chance for you to select an amp that matches those subs.   But again all depends on what you would like to do.

Again those subs are a bit on the lower end.  Some subs that are highly rated well, but are a little more expensive, probably run about 120-150 are the Phoenix Gold RSDC 12's.

The RSD 12" non competition versions are around the same price as the pioneers and score really well as well for the price.  ON EBAY!  otherwise they are more expensive.
