this has probably been asked about 100 times but here we go

They claim to be a "political band" with there songs fighting against capitalism and the system and yet there they are, millionaires, signed to one of the major record labels. They cry for people to stop downloading their tracks illegally and yet they urge people to fight the system, laws and government in their songs.

they go on stage and burn flags to make a point, if they wanted to make a point they could of burnt their money, surly that would of made more of an impact than burning a $8.00 flag?

anyone else agree?

  1. You have a point, but ......I wouldn't call them the biggest hypocrites, not sure who that title goes to. There are a lot of them in the music industry these days.

    Also, love AC/DC

  2. u have a point actually but thier music is good tho

MA: no i dont like them.

  3. You know, I actually thought about the capitalism/them being loaded one before and found myself in a tug of war between what I think. Either, they're hypocrites, or, they have to earn a living, and how are they going to do that spending their whole time making music for free? I don't know, I still think it's good for them to raise awareness though..

No no I know what you're saying absolutely, communism and worldwide stars don't exactly go together. But, considering they have so many fans to pay for them to live comfortably, I don't know why they get aggravated and speak out against illegal downloading of their music. Sad though - I really felt their political message.

  4. no they make money whats wrong with that

and downloading is wrong legally or illegally

  5. they have a talent and they've worked to get their money because of doing what they do so well with so many supporters, they shouldn't have to not accept the money. The money comes from fans, and the fans are probably fans because of their morals.

  6. They're hard working musicians. Why is it such a bad thing to try to stop illegal downloading? What do you want them to promote illegal downloading? They make money off their music, why is it so bad to make money off of what you do best? Music? Having money shouldn't change one's views and I'm sure it doesn't change there's. The message is still being sent out there, that's whats important.

  7. Pretty much, IMHO.

I used to work in the most expensive and exclusive hotel in the LA area and Zach De La Rocha would come and stay fairly often; rooms started at $450/night and went as high as $3500/night. He usually was in one of the oceanfront rooms that cost $750. The same sort of rooms that big hip hop and pop stars would stay in.

I'm all for enjoying the fruits of your labor, but when you make this big angry stink about hating ostenacious wealth and capitalism it doesn't make much sense to me to drop 2k in two days on a hotel room right next to where the CEO of Bank Of America is staying.

Oh and the combination of Morello's high, distorted guitars and Zach's whiney, shrieky vocals sounds like an icepick to the eardrum IMHO.

    AC/DC is pretty awesome.

  8. Well, I don't see them exploiting their money. Do you see them driving around in fancy cars?

  9. No, I do not agree.

    MQ: Yes, I love AC/DC.

  10. are you still stuck in the 70's
