  1. Rainbow boas are beautiful snakes.  But they are expensive.  It depends on where u are from and where u buy it from.  They can cost 175.00-350.00 or more depending on the age of the snake or if there is any color "mutations".  Meaning color variations.  If I were you, I would buy a cornsnake.  I love the color variations and the price is right!!   They are wonderful eaters and easy keepers.   Have fun on your search.   Please do your homework first...!!

    2. They are huge'

    3. keep it in a cage.

    4. If you have kids try not to get one or if you do don't leave the kid home alone with one.

  5. Brazillian Rainbow Boas  are definately a intermediate level snake NOT FOR BEGINNERS as these snakes require high levels of humidity. they are not quite as expensive as they used to be as more and more of us professional breeders breed them.

  6. I don't suggest getting one, as they /are/ expensive, require active humidity checks and balances, and are nippy.  I was bitten last night, actually, though that was the first time in over a year, and he was getting used to bigger prey, so instead of latching onto the mouse, he grabbed my hand.  They are also quite strong.

  7. rainbow boas aren't good beginner snakes.  cornsnakes, kingsnakes, ball pythons those are good for beginners.
