Are Ramen Noodles Bad For You?

I eat about 2 packs a day, and my girlfriend keeps saying that I shouldn't because its bad for me...

Is it bad for me to eat so much ramen?

Creamy Chicken ramen to be specific.

    I like the shrimp flavored with a squirt of lemon and Tapatio hot sauce. Yummy!

    Not good if you have high blood pressure.

  4. they are horrible for you. all that salt they have, it could easily cause weight gain and/or heart problems if eaten alot. 2 packs a day though shouldn't do anything that dramatic to you but i wouldn't eat any more

  5. I have been eating Ramen Creamy Chicken soup every other day for as long as I can remember. I am going to be 75 years old in November, and I had open heart surgery 6 years ago. ( 5 bypasses)Three weeks ago, I had a nuclear stress test and passed it with no problem. My visit today with my family doctor revealed that I am healthier than a 54 year old man. My blood pressure is good, my chloresterol is fine and my blood sugar level is good.

    So, I ask, what is so bad about Ramen Noodles? As a matter of fact, I just made a broccoli slaw salad for dinner and it contains Ramen Oriental noodles, crushed and browned with almonds in butter. Yum yum.

  6. They have tons of carbs most people live on protein they can make you put on weight faster.If you eat tons of them.They also do carry a ton of salt/sodium check the package.Wondering what doesn't anymore though.

    One of my kids will eat the chicken ones everyday for lunch.So you are NOT alone.

    SO not sure if you have high blood pressure or not ..if you dont i wouldn't worry.

  7. The flavour packet has the salt and bad stuff, and it isn't even that bad.  As long as you do not eat too much salt with other meals, Ramen is fine.  Millions of poor students can't be wrong.

    I eat about one/ day, sometimes two.  That is breakfast for me.

  8. It's not the worst, but it isn't good for you.

    It is basically carbs with some fat, and terrible amounts of SALT.

    No nutrition.

  9. They are loaded with sodium. I would not eat that many, but once in a while is OK.

  10. i like ramen, its not bad for you but after i learned that the skin of sea cucumbers is putin the mix to flavor the spice packet i dont eat it as much.

  11. They're not very healthy,but they sure are cheap. You get tired of them after awhile.

  12. The bad things in ramen are the sodium content and the fact that the noodles are deep-fried.  However, if you're a healthy human being and can tolerate the fat and sodium, eat away!  I personally love the shrimp ramen as a quick snack, with a couple shakes of dark sesame oil.
