Are Range Rovers Reliable?

Question

Okay, I am thinking of purchasing a used Range rover from 1996-2001. I just want to know if these vehicle are reliable or not.

Any input?

Old simple cars and knowing how to keep them going was the most reliable thing. These electronic marvels must be taken care of by various technicians and if it won't go, you cannot fix it yourself. That was no accidental engineering. Car dealers make most of their profit in the service area, not new car sales.

i could not find any data referring to those dates. but according to consumer reports the 2005 year model was rated:

much worse than average

they gave it black marks for almost everything. audio, brakes, headlights, climate, suspension, eletrical it goes on. but like i said. this is the 2005 model.

They arent the greatest look into the new tahoes or yukons or esclades instead.

According to a study done by J.D. Power & Associates, the Land Rovers are the least reliable luxurious cars with the worst reliability ratings.

  Land Rovers are expensive to repair! Land Rover/Range Rover is the real winner on living in the shop. These things break down all the time, will leave you stranded and drain your wallet to repair.

There are stats on the web that show the reliability of all car makers....Range Rover/Land Rover is always the worse.

If you like to spend money yet never drive...buy a Land Rover.

If you like to drive and not spend money...buy a Lexus/Toyota.

Get a 1994-99  Toyota Land Cruiser!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

there ok but i use 2 have one and the engine blows out pretty quick if you drive it alot
