Are Rattlesnakes Endangered?

Question

Are snakes like the DiamondBack Rattlesnake endangered? If so, Shouldn't we make them illegal to kill? Sense they are important as any other snake? They keep number of pests at a low.

And they don't hurt you as long as you don't bother it, We have so many bites cause of so many ignorant people. They are the cause of snakes near extinction.
