  1. I love both fighters and Vinny has the biggest heat of any fighter who has ever lived the only way either of these guys makes it in is because there aren't any other fighters to put in. Well the more I think about it both fighters lost every big fight they were in. Vinny lost to Greg Hogan a tough man fighter come on man you can not go to the Hall Of Fame with that on your resume. As for Mancini is Livingston Bramble going to the Hall Of Fame if he is then Mancini should go but if he does not then you cant put him in. Some times we want to vote a guy in with our heart but if we did that everyone would be in the Hall Of Fame it should be special

  2. mancini was out of the ring for 4 years when he fought camacho, and hector always rose to occasion against good opposition (win or lose), and paz was probably his best performance since he fought rosario.

i don't think paz belongs in the hall of fame and beating and over-the-hill duran & honeyghan, and defeating greg haugen 2 out of 3 and gilbert dele isn't enough.

as for mancini, he made 4 defences of his title, gave alexis arguello a handful, and had 2 tough and very close fights with bramble, so he'll get in, as fighters have gotten in for less.

  3. I am not sure if they are hall of famers or not, but both of these guys should be. They both were part of boxing during the "All Or Nothing" Days. Heck Mancini was one of the reasons that boxing fights were reduced to12 rounds instead of 15 (After he killed du ku kim).

Plus to answer your other question just an FYI the MANCINI vs. CAMACHO fight was really won by Mancini. At the end of the fight Camacho even said he thought Mancini had won the fight. But that is not a knock at Camacho. The man is well respected in my book along with Haugen and all the guys of that era.

  4. BOOM BOOM IS NOT--VINNY IS--YES THEY BOTH GOT BOUNCED BY CAMACHO--BUT MOST ALL DID

  5. First of all, only 2 people thought Camacho beat Mancini and those were 2 of the judges and I heard they graduated from "Boxing Judging for the Blind".

I think both have an excellent chance of reaching the Hall of Fame.  Mancini was a matinee idol who gave Arguello a very tough fight, and if it was a 12 rounder like today's title fights, he may have won it.  The death of Du Koo Kim really haunted him and affected his performances after that.

With Vinny Paz, one of my all-time favorite fighters, there will be a lot of critics talking about his title-fight wins over an average Greg Haugen and Gilbert Dele, along with his 2 wins over a past-his-prime Roberto Duran.  But nobody had more heart than Vinny Paz.  And if coming back from a broken neck when the doctors were commenting he was lucky to be walking again isn't legendary, then I don't know what is.

If I had a vote, I would vote Yes to both!!!
