  1. I don't think so. There's not really any quantitative data associated with Religious Studies.


  2. Should be. It's the reason WHY people decorated what they did, had the demonstrations, wars, what drove their philosophy...why they did anything for most of history.

  3. Technically, you could argue that philosophy is a social science, and philosophy is simply a broad name for religion. Religion has been a motivating factor throughout history, from Sumerians to Egyptians to the Crusades to modern day IRA and terrorists. Another way that religious studies are a social science is that religion is a major consideration in the science of forensic psychology, an important social science.
