Are Republicans from venus and Im from mars or is Palin so wrong to be a vice president?

I I could go on and on on what I think is sick and wrong with McCain choosing this person to be his VP. For starters she has no clue of her job description, she has no chemistry with McCain as far as being partners go and they've only met once face to face, not to mention she has a six month old baby with down syndrome, shouldn't she be taking care of her little baby instead of doing all this? Babies with down syndrome and autism need their mothers at all times literally.

Im Republican and all for WOMEN RIGHTS and high power women and believe she may know some of her stuff...but I think some of the other candidates were much more qualified and sadly think this was a publicity stunt on Mccains part...Sadly dissapointing this election has turned into this

I know like OMG. I think there should be a law stating that if you have a child with down syndrome or autism that you shouldn't be allowed to work. Maybe we could place her in some sort of cage so that she can't try to leave her house. I mean, we'd still feed her and stuff but come on, she shouldn't be allowed to live outside of her child's life.

How dare you tell her she can't serve because she has children.  Did you forget the baby under JFK's desk and the little ones running around in the White House yard or was that OK since he is a man?  Palin is the RIGHT choice.  You weren't going to give her a chance anyways, be honest with yourself, so take your sexism elsewhere.  She has a strong family, a husband and older children that will help care for her child.  She already has a full time job as GOVERNOR.

He rolled out a doozy and smoked it. Well, he is espousing everything he believes in in allowing her to be his choice, and it's pretty insulting. He's actually thinking women are dumb - that they will support him just because he has a woman on board.

The thing about Hillary is that regardless of how anyone feels about her - she was seen by her supporters as most qualified regardless of -- not despite or because of -- her gender. And what McCain just did is play the gender card on the people whose support was rooted in it not being played. Hence the reason many feminists and other women were not for her; they simply didn't like her the candidate and rebuked the expectation that they'd just go for the woman. And now the idea that this lady could potentially be the first female pres ... via McCain's manipulation of female voters ... it's a slap in the face on both counts. Hopefully this will turn out to be the most fatal of all his fatal flaws.
