  1. Gustav had been downgraded to a Cat 1, levees are holding, New Orleans completely evacuated...everything looking good to make progress on the RNC.

    Why?  Were you yourself lying prostrate on the floor in anguish over Hurricane Gustav???  

    Yeah right!


  2. Dancing and drinking while Gustav heads for US. Guess that partying is what is most important that McCain does not want to suspend. Yup, they are so concerned about those who will be impacted.

    Of note is that a number of protesters against that convention are there, ranging at times from 2,000 to 10,000.

    They've actually scaled back ALOT because of the hurricane.   There's no reason they should do away with it completely.  Especially since the hurricane turned out to be a bloated thunderstorm.
