Do too many Americans reject the considered, holistic approach of Democrats... just because it requires too much thought?

Republicans are the party of black and white; Democrats see the gray area between the black and white divide. Their platform makes for better soundbites; ours makes for a better country....but many people don't want to listen to anything more than a soundbite. See above for examples.
