Question:

Are Republicans really that confident that they're going to win again?

I'm not bashing. I'm simply pointing out that all signs point to a democrat victory. Popularity, media coverage, electoral college, etc. all suggest the GOP's inevitable defeat.

Does the GOP have enough time to turn it around?

  1. Republicans have to put on a brave face in public, but if you listen to some of the private interviews and such, they are very worried and depressed about the election.

However, I would not call their defeat inevitable. The election is still relatively close, though Obama has been pulling out in front. That may largely be a temporary side effect of the convention and Palin Problems, but still.

At the end of the day, if you want Obama to win, as I do, you still need to do everything you can to ensure that happens; do no rest on the assumption of easy victory.  Volunteer, donate and/or continue talking to undecided voters that you know. Remember, every little bit helps.

  2. Yes; they will rig the ballot just like in Florida in 2000 and Ohio in 2004.

And then they always have the Supreme Court...duck hunting Scalia will lead the charge.

  3. The Dem's have to win Pennsylvania to win the white house and Obama is not that popular in my state, because we will elect a Democrat but Socialist are another issue entirely

  4. McCain will win. Kerry was leading in the polls too. The silent majority will vote for McCain.
