Are Russia's cold war ballistic missles still active, and are they in unstable environments?

For instance...Have they disarmed the warheads in the decommissioned submarines? Are there any scenario's that could prove volatile with old Russian missle storage?

Ballistic missiles are still active it is for sure. But for unstable enviroments I doubt it very much.

The weapon of mass destruction are heavily guarded and controlled. Believe me if there was a chance for russian nuclear missiles to be stolen or to be broken it would have already happened in 90's when there was a chaos in Russia. But now, under Putin's rule I believe everything is in order as it should be.
