if i got a good score on the reasoning (2200-2300) and bad on one of the two subject tests (e.g. 550) do universities take as much into account the subject tests as they do the reasoning test?

  1. well i asked my mom (becasue my bro just went through this)

and she said that the SAT subjects are weighted less

just becasue they are wieghted less doesnt mean they look at one more then the other . so just study hard and youll do GREAT !

  2. It depends...if you are applying to highly selective schools like yale or penn...they have to look at the subject tests the same way b/c most applicants score so closely on the reasoning test. You just have to try your absolute best on all of them. Don't worry about it too much (esp. if you aren't applying to elite schools) and worry about your application more.

    Hope this helps.
