  1. There are different sizes of shrimp, but prawns are the largest of the shrimp family and to me a lot tougher than any smaller shrimp. Some restaurants pride themselves serving this item, but I always shy away from them.

  2. i think they are the same buhh i think prawns are wayy bigger!

  3. praws are a larger shrimp like creature. But they tast the same and you can use them in the same recipe.

  4. ideally salt water shrimps are marketed as shrimps and fresh water or delta water shrimps are marketed as prawns but you will find that larger shrimps tend to be marked prawns or scampie. Now to help you pick the best shrimp look for gulf or south american shrimps first and if you cant get that look for tigers that have not had trisodium phosphate added. and shell on shrimps are always the best flavor choice.  hope this helped

  5. I think of shrimps as being any size, but prawns have to be big enough not to eat in one bite, like, they're big enough to be by themselves as an entree.

  6. nope... shrimps are shrimps... prawns, on the other hand, are like giant shrimps... hehe...

    it's like a mountain and a hill...
