Are Sangomas unique to South Africa or are they also found else where in the world? How can people be so gullible to give their life savings to a person? http://www.epherald.co.za/herald/news/n09_10072008.htm

  1. No, they arent unique to South Africa. Variations of the belief are also found in Louisiana, America, in a country called Haiti in the Carribean and especially in West Africa. In Lousiana and Haiti the belief is known as Voodoo and in West African countries as Voudun/Vudun. And to the first answerer, just because a person's beliefs are different to your own, doesnt make their culture "primitive" or inferior to your own.

  2. They have knowledge about plants that can cure medically, but they mislead people and rob them  -  and most people believe they actually speak to their forefathers, so these 'witchdoctors' make a fortune out of other peoples misfortune

  3. It is a witch doctor, they are found all over Africa. Remember black culture is not the same as our advanced european culture, they are far more primitive and willing to believe almost anything.

  4. What an idiot.... I am actually lost for words. How many times have people be warned about these schemes and they still fall for this. Saum Ssempijja should sit for life and he is from your valley Lize. You will have to hang on that cash.
