  2. no

  3. No.

  4. very good question this, yes they can fight off more then any other animal can and also have the best immune system of any thing that is living on the planet

  5. Where did you hear this?

Nothing in immuned to chemical warfare and if we infected  a shark with a deadly virus, it would die.

Do not believe everything you hear.

    Even tranquilizers work on sharks.

    You sound really gullible.

  6. They do have a very strong immune system although they are not immune to all known diseases no.

They just have a better immune system than humans...  It's silly...

  7. No. Not true.

Many animals that eat or live lives full of bacteria and poisons develop powerful immune systems.

However the nature of existence means that disease is a predator too. Sharks have their own diseases which have evolved alongside with them.

It is very difficult to give a crocodile food or blood poisoning for instance, but they are susceptible to many of their own parasites and viruses.

  8. "  Basically, sharks seem to possess only one class of broad-spectrum serum antibody - similar to that found in human infants. In humans, this broad-spectrum class of antibody is replaced by more specific antibodies as the child matures and is exposed to a greater variety of pathogens. Conversely, sharks retain their non-specific immune response throughout their lives. This generalized immune system is one of the reasons sharks are able to detoxify many potentially harmful compounds quickly without need of prior exposure. Sharks injected with carcinogens, coliform bacteria, and - most recently - exotic fungal toxins at concentrations that would kill most vertebrates outright, have detoxified these pathogens and survived apparently without ill effects.  "

  9. no they are not immune to all known diseases...they appear to have a natural immunity to cancer though.  There has been some recent controversy as researchers were able to forcefully infect sharks with cancer, but it doesn't appear to occur naturally.  The prevailing theory as to why this is the case with sharks, has to do with their livers which are the largest in relation to an animal's overall size of all animals.

  10. no. that's not true. if it were, i'd be out drinking shark blood and eating live sharks with thier mouths tied shut.  Then i'd tear the flesh and wear the flesh all day everyday.
