Are Siberian Huskies being banned as well?!?!?!?

I heard the Siberian Huskies are being banned, and are also being targeted by BSL. Why is that? Huskies are one of the most loving friendly breeds.....but so are the pit bulls and other bully breeds!! Why are people so ignorant and are trying to eradicate certain breeds of dogs? Soon it will be your lab or golden that will be targeted!! What is your view on BSL, and if you are against BSL what are you doing to fight it?

I think BSL is wrong and is prejudice, all dogs can bite! Are we not going to be able to own any breed of dogs eventually?

I hear your cry.  My brother has this breed....best guy in the world!  I love German Shepards and they are targeted too.  I adore pit bulls as well.  Great, great dogs that got a bum rap from ******* raising them to fight.  Why are we not punishing those people instead?  I will continue to support animal rights til the day I die.....I hope others out there will as well.  LET OUR VOICES BE HEARD FOR THE ONES WHO CANNOT SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES!  

People refuse to educate themselves so that "breeds" ignorance.  We always hate what we fear.  But as I always state:

"There are no bad dogs.  Only bad dog owners!"

I can't even write about BSL because I get so upset. I'll just say that and stop. Don't worry they will be banning humans soon enough.

Ban the deed not the breed.

Where is this? I have heard of no BSL targeting the breed, and certainly no banning. It would have been all over my Siberian groups.

They are on "Dangerous Dog" lists for some insurance companies. This has a lot to do with Animal Control reporting anything with pointed ears and a curly tail as a "husky", even if it's a poorly bred Shepherd or Chow mix that bit someone.

Because Siberians are the only recognized breed with "husky" in their name, they get pulled onto the list when the dog bite statistics come out.
