Are Smart Fares and One Travel reputable companies?

I just found a great fare for a flight on both of these websites, but have never heard of them before. Has anyone flown with them? Are they legit? Was it a good experience?

OneTravel - booked a 4-star hotel with them for 5 nights. The day before going to the hotel they sent me an e-mail saying my hotel had changed and gave me the name and adress for the new hotel. It turned out to be a 2-star hotel that they had booked for 1 night only. Spent a whole day calling them to sort out accommodation for me, but ended up paying out of my own pocket for another hotel. Still haven't gotten an apology or compensation
