Are Smith and Wesson Rifles Any Good?

I have a .243 S&W rifle that I'm going to use for hunting this year. I have heard about their handguns, but how are their rifles?

Which model?  The S&W 1500 was made by Howa and is a good rifle.   The Model B thru E rifles are also good shooters.

Anything made by S&W is decent.  They have to protect their image.  they will not make junk.

Older Smith and Wesson rifles were produced in europe by another known maker on a contract basis.

SW bought out Thompson Center recently...

The MP's are built in the US.... Stag contracts some of the parts.

Smith &Wesson rifles are as good as anyone elses... they just didnt market them very well over the years..

One of the best! Thats all my dad uses when hunting and he kills ALOT!!!

Sure.  The newest ones are nice with an extra-short bolt-throw.
