Are Special Education jobs available in New Zealand?

Question Details:I have a Master's degree in special education, grades K-6. We are moving to NZ from the US in less than two years. I have been teaching students with varying disabilities in a US public school for over 9 years. What opportunities are there, if any, and how do I go about getting my license in NZ? I have not seen any job postings and I'm seeking advice. Thanks!!!! :o)

depends where your going to move, but i always seem to see  jobs advertising for a teacher aide.

do a search on teacher aide or whatever job you are qualified for, it lists all kinds of info like job prospects in that career & courses available, etc.  You can maybe contact a course to find out if your qualification is recognised or contact our department of education by googling them on google.co.nz
