Are Sri Lankan women materialistic?

I have travelled extensively in Asia over 40 years.I first married a Sri Lankan girl in 1971 and have been visiting the island regularly from the UK since 1980. I now live here full time. Sri Lankan women are the least materialistic of any Asian women i have met AND the most honest.

I agree they are not materialistic. However if they face great financial pressures they will do whtever is necessary even marrying a westerner.Nothing wrong in that .

Well you were lucky.  I'm sure there are woman in Sri Lanka who are as materialistic as anywhere else.  

And nature usually balances out, someone with a good heart usually end up with an *** because Buddha teaches the middle way, moderation in all things.

when shes saying "No, No please don't buy me that present" really shes saying "buy it, buy it i've know you a long time and you buy me nothing" maybe Sri Lankan women are just too polite.

Ok. But have you also met women from other countries and married each of the woman from those countries to judge?
