Are Suzuki Forenzas good cars?

Question

This car will be my sister's first and my family decided to try and get her a small 4 cylinder car due to gas prices. We aren't looking to spend more than $10,000 but I found one that will be going to see tomorrow. What do you think of it? Good car? Worth going to see?

Well, my theory is that if the repair is on warranty and I get a rental, I'm fine, but not many people agree with me. It is a mediocre car. It has not received any awards for quality or anything, but 50,000+ Miles eems like a lot for the year, you can find something like this      http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail.jsp...                     Half the Mileage! Only $1000 More.

Yeah, they are also one of the most underrated cars. Just because they specialize in Motorcycles doesn't mean they can't build people haulers.

The Forenzas came from the old Daewoo Leganza.

For 10k and especially for the first car there are better options.  I would look at a Toyota or Honda that is 3-4 years old and try to find one with low miles.

They will be reliable and great on gas.  I new car for new driver is not always a good combination :)

Much, much better choices out there.

With $10,000 in cash, you can find pre-owned Civics, Accords, etc.

Suzuki has almost non-existent dealer support (there just aren't that many out there), questionable reliability (they do build great bikes, but there cars aren't too swift), and it's harder to get parts.

I'd keep looking...

I guess you should also check insurance quotes for Suzuki before buying one, for example here: http://autoinsurance.undonet.com

As I know it is expensive to insure.
