  1. I'm 18 now but for my 16 i id the same for all my other parts have my family come over to my house sing happy birthday, eat cake with ice cream, open presents, and talk.

i didn't care for it . i don't get why 16 is a big deal, wow i can legally drive with a license  woo who (sarcasm)

now for my 18 th birthday i had my friends, and family over, my friends spent the night , the night before the party, i had both my male and female friends, my mother rust me and i had the guys sleep in my brother  room (basement) and we girls in the living room. and i loved every moment. 18 your an adult now that something to party for.

  2. no I never had one and I never knew anyone who did lol

Its a reeally sweet idea, but I wouldnt want guys to be jealous, which they would be as they dont get any kind of "coming of age" party....and they might really resent girls for it, what with the modern age of equality and stuff

I saw an article about some millionairs children in the UK (im from the UK) who had sweet 16 parties, but that was the 1st time id ever seen it happen...lol they spent like £80,000 on getting the top Djs in and stuff...in their back gardens....if that was me, I woudlnt need the  excuse of being 16 lol! *i can but dream* ;)

  3. it still is a big deal..well for me it is..i would want one..i would hope i would get one cuz you get to be 16 once, and just once, so why not live to it?

    14 turning 15 in November

  4. They are still all the hype and getting bigger and better then ever.

Yes, this is still the case except much more extravagant- it isn't so simple these days. I plan on having one even if it's just a simple bash with family and close friends- but I want to have something in a beautiful garden with a large lilly pond and dance out on the terrace in a pretty dress with ballerinas and an orchestra in the background and of course maybe a famous celeb or DJ Rhianna maybe. He-he =]! You can always dream right?

  5. I'll be 16 in November and a lot of people still have them. Although I'm in the minority I don't really want a party. I'd rather get my license and a car then have a huge party. I haven't had a birthday party since I was 12. I think huge parties at 13 are ridiculous. Nothing special about being 13 except you're a teenager. Wow so exciting. Not much a milestone for me. 18 and 21 are what I think are milestone years.

  6. Have you ever seen the TV show My Super Sweet 16??

Pretty big deal. (Doesn't have to be that big though!) I've been to 16th birthday parties where the girl just invites her closest friends and family over for some dinner, cake, and games. But you can go all out too. It depends on what your kid wants. I think every girl deserves something like that.
