Are Teachers Allowed To Make Fun Of Student?

Im Currently Depressed And I Was Insulted When A Teacher Sends Me Outside Of Class And Telling People Im A Crybaby.

And Im Back Inside, She Tells Me To Do My Work, Or Else She'll Said She'll Tell Me Off And I'd Cry To The Whole Class.

What Should I Do?

Shes Abusive And Brings Out The Worst In Me. She Thinks Shes Got Greatest Authority In Our Class But She Doesnt Teach. And She Calls Everyone At My School Poor.

Its The Same Teacher Who Lost My iPod And Won't Pay Me Back !

It's not right what some teachers do to students (make a spectacle out of them), but since they can't discipline them in other ways (spankings) they get verbal.

I've had the same thing happen to me (ridicule) in front of the whole class also, but I just played along with her game.  When she found out she could not break me (make me cry or hurt my feelings) she left me alone.

Try it.  Though what she says might hurt your feelings.. don't let it show and you'll get the best of her.  Trust me, it works!!!

I'm assuming clinically depressed - you need to tell the principal about this.

Because if you're clinically depressed, she's only making it worse and she shouldn't be doing that.

Wow this is not the way any teacher should act.  I am a teacher and strongly suggest that you talk to your school guidance officer or year level coordinator.  This is bullying and is not acceptable.  If you get no joy talk to the teaher in charge of the subject or one of the admin with your parents.  I am sorry that this is happening to you.

i think she isn't a teacher. a student should be corrected for the mistakes personally but not in the open class

If she's actually called you a crybaby and it's not exaggerated u need to tell the head and get ur class to support you.

Some teachers are like that.

Maybe yooz are poor cos she doesn't teach u lol tell her that when she disses u !!

It is certainly not good teaching technique, but probably not breaking any laws.  Realize that she is the one with the problem, not you.  Just try to stay out of her way so that you are not the one on whom she heaps her abuse.

Maybe She Is This Way Because You Capitalize Every Word In Your Sentences. I Know It Would Annoy Me As A Teacher.

It isn't like the are ALLOWED to do it, but if it is done, what can be done about it I suppose is what you really want to know.  If you feel embarrassed or humiliated and have witnesses, take it up with the administration or better yet, get your parents involved and let them do it.  Restitution could be in order, at least an apology.  Good luck to you.
