Are The Aliens "Grays" Leading Man Kind Through Our Existence?

Question

What I Am Trying To Get At Is Someones Opinion On How They Feel About The Ones Called Grays Leading Us Though Our Technological Up Rising? And Does Anyone Think There Going To Come Out From Hiding Soon? I Have Been Told From Very High Very Reliable Souces That Grays Are Among Us And Help Us Advance And Keep Us Alive (Man Kind That Is) We All Know If We Really Knew About Them It Would Destroy Our Society & Our Religion

I've always toyed with the idea that Grays are not aliens at all but are humans from our own distant future who have evolved into a subterranean dwelling race because the surface of the Earth is no longer inhabitable.  The race is in danger of extinction so they are coming back in time to collect genetic material to repopulate the human race (this explains abductions).  Again, this is only a theory and is not something that I totally believe in.
