  1. Basically the same things the others said but some songs also belong to Harrisongs recording company.  They legally own any songs George Harrison wrote after a certain date.  While My Guitar Gently Weeps is one of them.


  2. I think Michael Jackson still owns quite a few, but he may have sold them.  I don't think they are public domain, at least not until 2012

  3. No they are not public domain. The Beatle songs belong to Apple Recording studios, unless that Jackson boy still owns them. But the owners of Apple are the widows of John Lennon, and George Harrison, Plus the two surviving Beatles Ringo Starr, and Sir Paul McCartney.

    Beatle songs are not allowed to be used in commercials either.
