Question:

Are The Chinese Cheating In The Olympics?

Will they do ANYTHING to win and look good to the world? First they had a little girl lip syncing instead of the real singer (an uglier little girl). Then they digitally included all those fireworks in their Opening Ceremony which were not really there. Then they changed the birthdates of their women gymnastics team, many which were little girls who did not legally qualify. What next?

  1. who cares?

Even if they were nothing will hapen to them.

  2. I know no one will believe me, but my friend is Chinese (not Chinese American) and as nationalistic as you can get. He's extremely into the Olympics and is currently in Beijing. His father works with the committee and his mother's best friend is a coordinator. But he is also very honest and down-to-earth and he says that the Beijing Olympics aren't faultless, especially when it comes to judged events. The consensus now is that judges are bribed and documents are faked but it's kind of like an unsaid, dirty reality. My friend puts it this way: "Yeah, I cannot say, 'NO, the judges were NOT bribed or somehow unjustly partial to us,' or 'NO, there is nothing fishy about our gymnastics team' because I wouldn't be entirely truthful. But I can say that we are very proud of our athletes and every single one of them has worked very, very hard. We see this as an opportunity to celebrate our country's place in the world and interact with all peoples. And frankly, it's a pride issue. It's on our soil and we want this year to be our best year. We have been waiting to host the games for a very long time. Try to understand."

    It's not the best argument.

  3. EVERY nation will be doing all they can to win and look good, wait till the dope cheats get caught out before judging, and talking about judging, remember gym and diving judges are not Chinese, anyone remember the great Marion Jones and her boyfriend ?

  4. You are real a pighead.

  5. Yes, theyre beating us so they have to be right?

  6. all of these anti-chinese comments just show how conceited the USA is. this country is ridiculous to criticize morality...it's not exactly democracy if you invade countries and force that government on them. all this democracy c**p is pure BS! and it's funny that in your mind, this can be the only fathomable reason that the US is cheating...

  7. YUP..next is a fake closing ceremony!

  8. Don't read the negative comments here that are pro Chinese.  You are just the messenger saying like it is "the truth".  If communist China is willing to kill to stay in power and control their people...cheating in the Olympics is a no brainer for the ranking official to fake passport for the girls to be of age.  Then again, if we are looking to China fo moral codes then we are looking in the wrong direction.

  9. No one cares. Once the olympics are finished everything won't matter.

  10. yea, china will do anything to try and get the world to like them. at these olympics they took their expertise in censorship and used it to show the world only the good of china but we all saw the bad, especially when the american men's volleyball coaches in-laws were stabbed. Give it time and there will be proof that the chinese gymnasts are too young and then USA will get the medal. and thats good cuz the US gymnasts are hot and the chinese are skinny ugly b*tches who are all 9 yrs old

  11. Are you that stupid?

If ANYONE still criticize China's safety efforts on the fireworks needs their brain examined.

About the 29 footstep fireworks, it is not fake. It is real. But the footage you see is digitally imposed/overlayed (probably from earlier rehearsal images). That means if you were in Beijing you will actually see the 29 foot steps fireworks on the street.

The reason they gave for digitally enhancing the footage was it is impossible to shoot all 29 steps in such quick succession and guess what, "for the safety of the helicopter crew shooting the scene".

I don't need to explain the other two because when somebody criticize a effort to have a trouble-free and free of helicopter crashes...YOU DON'T DESERVE ANYTHING!!!

  12. I KNOW THATS TRUE LIKE TODAYS MORNNING WHEN THE CHINESE CHICK FELL AND STEPPED ON THE LINE AND THEY GAVE HER A 15.600 OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT BUT YEA THEY ARE cheating!

  13. I am not going to discuss  a lot about open ceremony as there is nothing to do with the sports itself. In my opinion, even if any country is allowed to use any hollywood effect on an Olympics open ceremony, I don’t think anyone can do a better job than this one. They are picking because Chinese delivered us a great show which is too good.

About sport cheating. No solid evidence on the age issue yet unless Chinese government admitted it or we actually obtained physical evident like birth certicates. Asians look a lot younger than others, so they might or might not be underage.

Assuming they are really underaged. First of all, we must ask why a minimum age rule applies. Is it because younger gymnasts have unfair advantage over older gymnasts? Older gymnasts should be ashamed because they are supposed to be more skillful and experienced. I have no information on it yet, but the rule is more likely to protect a child than unfair advantage issue. When a gymnasts is better, he/she is better regardless of age.

It is inappropriate that Chinese let underage gymnasts to compete if they are really underage, but it is far from cheating as suggested by some Amercians. What defines cheating is unfair advantage over other players. Using of illegal drugs is cheating, but calling  possible underage cheating is overreacted.

Some people want medals so bad that they are using all kind of tricks to discredit others. If you read the questions you can find many ‘Chinese are cheating’, ‘ranking should be total in medals’ and ‘ do you think 100M runners use illegal drugs’ posts here. It is a pity that their alethes in Beijing are showing true sportsmanship but their supporters don’t.

  14. Please stop this nonsense and just enjoy the Games and admit that China host a very successfully

I don't think they should choose a prettier girl instead, but hey they are not really the first country when you think of choosing prettier person over others..

According to the official explanation, during the opening ceremony, the bird nest was a no-fly zone so that is why they show a digital firework video to media... I think that makes sense, and doesn't it matter? even just the real ones you see on the ground up it is still spectacular...

Regarding the women gymnastics age. the girls only need to be reaching their 16 by the end of this year... and they do look at least 15 to me.  And if you look at the Japanese girls team they look the same, and no one seems to care if they are faking their birth certificate...

What next? some pig head will not accept China's achievement and claimed the whole thing was a hoax, the whole thing was staged somewhere in Wisconsin.

  15. Yeah. Of course! Some of the Chinese gymnasts look like they're 10!

  16. Well s_jam316, your answer is perfect.

    The US gymnasts are hot.

If your mom were a gymnast, i would love to f*** her.

  17. WITHOUT A DOUBT

they have cheated in shooting, boxing, gymnastics, and many other fields as well.

**** the chinese government, they are all no good pieces of ****, who only care about one thing, power. They murder more of their own people than any country on earth, and will stop at nothing to "be the best" when in fact it's just showing the world how corrupt they are.

  18. as bad as it is, every country is like that. everyone wants to seem like the best, and when you're hosting the Olympic Games, you can get away with a lot more. it's biased everywhere. the US is like that too, have you noticed that the american announcers say mostly bad things about the athletes in other countries, yet say mostly good things about american athletes? every country will do everything to win and if you're not the best on your own turf, then you start looking bad. i don't agree with the things the chinese did but it's not surprising. it's a shame that honesty, integrity, and true sportsmanship mean nothing anymore.

yea, thumbs down for speaking the truth! :)
