all of the pogues are either Irish born or their parents are Irish, but who moved to England.. many people who are first generation Irish, but were born in England , still class themselves as Irish

they were all either born here or born in england to irish parents.

and yes they are still going.  I was at there christmas gig in the point depot in dublin this last december when 8,000 people sold out the arena (so they are still popular too)

Are they still around?  I used to listen to them in the 80's.  As I remember, they were composed of Irish and English members.
