Question:

Are There Any Supplements That Can Help When Stopping Birth Control Pills?

I've decided to stop taking birth control pills after 7 years of taking them without a break. I understand that coming off of them can be a bit difficult to adjust to and that many women suffer from migraines, nausea, depression, acne, etc...when they stop their pills. I'm wondering if there are any supplements that I could take to make the change a bit easier. Thanks.

  1. Speaking from my own personal experience I had nothing but problems when I came off the pill so for the comment about the wife not having problems and doom and gloom answer I'm afraid that some people really suffer when coming off the pill.  Obviously your wife was one of the lucky ones but don't criticise another person's answer when they are only trying to prepare someone for what may happen.  Stopping bcp after so many years is obviously going to affect a woman's hormones.  I for one am still suffering with hormone imbalance 14 months after stopping the bcp which I was on for 10 years.  The best thing you can do is get your hormone levels tested because messing about with your hormones when you don't know what you're actually deficient in can cause more problems.  Obviously take magnesium and a good multi vitamin though to help with general health but before taking herbs get yourself the right information.  Good luck.
