Are There Colleges in honduras?

every time i research colleges in honduras. It only has universities on it.

In Honduras Colleges/Universities are the same???

or are there no colleges at all

how are Collges/Universities like?

list good college/universities

College,university = Universidad

There is no translation for college. I would be surprised if you were to find any institution in latinamerica with "COLLEGE" in it´s title. unless it is a direct branch of a US equal.

There are three state universities in Honduras one in each mayor city.

U.N.A.H (Universidad nacional autonoma de Honduras) in our capital (Tegucigalpa) With about 15,000 students.

C.U.R.N (Centro universitario regional del norte) In San Pedro Sula. With about 11,000 students.

U.C.L.A. in la ceiba . 3,000 students.

There is at least one private university in any 45 min drive. you can look for :

U.T.H (Universidad tecnologica de honduras)

Unitec (universidad tecnologica centro americana)

Look for : El Zamorano very pretigious agricultural university.

Campuses don´t have dorms. 70% of student body are of the female gender. most universities use trimestral method. Most are located in areas no bigger then 10 acres.

They all have websites you can easily get more info in. use "hn" instead of ".com" when searching. example : www.uth.hn
