Are There Onions In The Secret Sauce At McDonalds?

everytime i go to mcdonalds and get a big mac, i ask for no onions! however, i end up having to send it back and have it remade because there are onion on my bigg mac. are there onions in the secret sauce? is that why they can never get it right? or are the onions seperate from the secret sauce?

McDonald's is terribly horrible for you! if you put a regular cheese burger in a car for 1 hour, it will rot and turn green! and they put chicken grease in their salad!!!! gross!!!!!!! now you know why america is the most obease country in the world!!! because they eat soooo much McDonalds!

Here is the Big Mac sauce list of ingredants no onions but it has onion powder.

Big Mac Sauce

No they just have pickles in it.

I always ask for no onions too--b/c I hate their onions :(= they are chopped up and hard to get off if they're on there.

Their secret sauce is slightly modified Thousand Island dressing. There are no onions in it (but Thousand Island comes with chopped gherkins). Any onions you got probably came accidentally. You see, McDonald's is NOT used to special orders, and they make burgers in batches. Ordering no onions (with the mistaken impression that you'll get a fresher burger maybe?) can get missed because the guys are making twelve at a time. Or, if they made one especially for you, it may have been mismarked and you got the wrong burger. In any case, unless you're allergic to onions, this shouldn't be a big deal.

EDIT: I have a friend, an old work buddy, whose new job is nearby. We grabbed lunch last week at McDonalds. He ordered his two quarter pounders without pickles. When I asked him about it (I know he eats pickles) he said, "I get a fresher burger." I responded, "James, it is the middle of a lunch rush. The difference in timing for your burger might be two minutes. If you got it "to go" would you notice by the time you got back to your office?" I hope I broke him of this habit. McDonalds is about speed, not custom burgers. You really aren't getting a "fresh" one if you do this. No burger is more than 15 minutes old there.

This will always be a problem an McDs.  Special orders are not what McDs are about.  They are about churning out Mc Burgers..This is why Burger King has always specialized in the "have it your way mantra"  Scrape your onions off or go someplace else.
