Are Tony Lama's XT5002L good for riding?

I want a western boot that is comfortable, looks good and will wear well. I like these, but need to be sure that their styling will work in and out of the saddle. (aka sole, heel, etc).

  1. Yes they are fine for riding and I highly recommend Tony Lamas.  The pair I had has been resoled twice (many years apart) and are still wearable.  I have always found them extremely comfortable.  I should mention I am VERY hard on boots.  I seldom get a year out of any other brand.  I have had Georgias, Durangos, Justins, and ariats as well.  None have ever come close to lasting as long as the Tony's except a pair that was given to me and does not have a name on them so I can not even guess there brand.  Like my Tony's that pair is around 15 years old but has just now started popping out the seems.  My Durangos and Justins lasted right at one year before they literally fell apart.  In both cases it was not the seems or the sole.  The leather just wore out on top the foot where it flexed.  The sole wore out of the ariats and the leather was not worth a reshoeing in a year.  I do have a no name walmart brand that has lasted almost two years now.

    So yes get the Tony's

  2. definately, probably the best around, my friend has them in all the colors, shes crazy xD

  3. nice

  4. I LOVE Tony Lama's.  It's the only boot I purchase now.  They do last a LONG time...and I've had mine resoled a couple of times.  And they are soooooo comfortable!

    Those are nice ones...
