Are U.S forty-one cent stamps still good for usage?

I want to mail a letter with 41 cents U.S stamps within California and I ran out of one cent mail stamps

THE STAMPS ARE STILL GOOD BUT THEY ALONE WON'T ALLOW YOU TO MAIL A LETTER ANYWHERE.

Yes... Just add a one cent stamp and your good to go.

if you don't include that extra 1 cent, you are taking a chance that it will come back to you.  If that happens they might require a whole new 42 cents; the original 41 cents will be wasted

It will not work. It will be returned. Go get some more stamps.

They are valid, but not sufficient.  You need to get some more 1-cent stamps.
