  3. i still use them in my vcr recorder. but i use dvd in my dvd recorder on real good movies .

  6. I think they are already dead...it could be my favorite movie and I just hate putting it int he VCR...

    I dont like watching VHS anymore....But I do like the way they decorate your place...lol

  8. VHS has already died in many parts of the world. However in some parts like the Eastern Europe and CIS countries (USSR) they are still being sold in huge numbers (and I am talking of new tapes). Quite strange though, since the DVD market is also very strong in these parts now.

    In these regions too, VHS will be dead soon.

  10. VHS??? What is that? Is that what dinosaurs used to play with???? VHS is long gone. The question you want to ask yourself is: Is simple dvd dead? Maybe not yet but with Blu Ray already here i wouldn't bet on them for too long...

  12. They are slowly dying out lots of shops here do still sell them but eventually they will be phased out for the "new" things that are going to come along.  Look at cassette tapes.....you have to do to second hand places to even find them anymore.

    laser disk (the in thing before dvd) was first to take over and then dvd slowly killed them

    VCD's killed them, followed by the DVD aftermath.

    I am sure you will always be able to buy a new VHS player though. Just like you can still buy turn tables and cassette decks.
