It can b both. I depends wheter the female reproductive organs (the pistil) are below the male reproductive organs (the stamen). if it is below the pollen can fall on to the stigma and the flower will self-pollinate. it will cross pollinate when wind, bugs, etc. carry it to another flower's stigma or the pistil is above the stamen. hope that helped!! =))
