meaning do wealthier people eat special organic foods, have personal trainers, and personal chefs to cook for them, and more time to train out more than a poor obese person?

I mean if you really look at society, or the magazines, do you ever see an obese debutatante? an obese heiress, or an obese princess or queen of a country?

  1. its not because of special food or trainers in my oppinion its b.c poor people often use food as a source of entertainment while rich people can afford to go do other things if that makes sense its much cheaper to take your family of five to dinner than to take your family of five to an amusement park for the day

  2. Are you talking developed or developing nations?

  3. cause the diet food costs  more thats why! and they can afford to go to the gym. Yeah, you can buy ten potpies, four loaves of white bread, a jar of peanut butter, a jar of jelly, and four big macs for under twenty dollars. One block of tofu costs five! BTW we eat the tofu ^_^ But we ain't rich!

  4. Some demographic research was recently done on the Sydney area. The poorer Western areas had a higher percentage of overweight people than the wealthier Eastern and Northern areas.

People in the West and South-west are often not as well educated as the rest of Sydney (not everybody in these areas falls into this category though). They also have a more layed back culture and don't think very highly of their wealthier counterparts, thus avoiding engaging in their healthier ways of life.

People in the Western suburbs are not as likely to have the money to go to a gym. They are not as likely to have the money to go out to dinner at a restaurant, so they will eat unhealthy fast food in its place. They are also more likely to drink and eat junk food to seek temporary comfort from their often more difficult lives.

Certainly in doveloped countries, wealthier people are less likely to be obese. In a doveloping country however, I think it would be the other way around.

  5. Affluent people tend to have more access to health information and resources which leads to a greater awareness of what it is to eat healthily. Also they have less financial stresses which results in a more balanced lifestyle.

  6. Yes.. like the celebs.. they have special trainers and cooks.. Oprah.. it's time for your jogging.. Oprah.. I have cooked you a wonderful low cal. meal and made you a dessert out of yoghourt and fruit that only contains 50 cals.... Rich people can afford trainers who motivate them to do exercise .. and they have their special cook who cooks nice looking and well tasting food for them which are low in calories.. but still contain everything the body needs.. if you are rich you can do that.. and if you are one of the richest celebs such as Ophrah Winfrey for sure you can have a personal trainer and a chauffeur and a cook and a masseur... x*x and poor people often go and eat fast food because if they have children... they believe to buy super big pizzas or eat at Burger king or Mc Donalds.. the family will all be happy and that eating there with the whole family will be cheaper...

  7. Well if you can't do much else eating can be the focus...Some of it is true you can have some one prepare meals that are specific for your goals.  And higher personal trainers to walk you through the tough spots.
