Question:

Are Western Europeans the Most Accepting People in the World?

Since apparently someone doesn't think it's reasonable to ask about anything that may show negative aspects of anything European (or Dutch, in particular), I decided to ask something that sounds more "positive".

Hopefully the individual who reported my initial question (which was worded respectfully, despite addressing something negative) will grow up someday...

  1. depends on what we are talking about...

  2. more then north America yes but not in all Europe.

  3. Well I answered yesterday's question and so may as well answer this one (btw this is indeed more 'respectful' that yesyerday's and no I'm not one of the ones who reported it as there would have been little point me answering in the length I did!)

So no, Western Europeans are not the most accepting people in the world.  Same as American's they are taught from an early age to have opinions and likes/dislikes.

The complaining and especially "suing for the drop of a hat" culture that has been in place in the US is slowly but surely creeping over this side of the Atlantic e.g. yesterday I read a news report that a jobless guy was insulted by a letter he received from his bank and got compensation of over €300, but decided he wanted more!

If I recall yesterday's question then I suppose you mean are Western European's "accepting"of other nationalities as vistitors to their countries?  In which case my answer would be again, yes on the whole they are.  Tourism is a mainstay of most of Western Europe's ecomomies.  For example France & Spain consistantly rank at the top (above even the US) for the most popular tourist destinations year on year.  Ã¢Â‚¬138 billion people (collectively for these two countries) in one year, shows that they must be doing something right.

So I would say, come over to Europe with a postive attitude and you will see that you are treated well.  Just smile and walk on for the minority that don't (same as anyway) and have a fun holiday learning info first-hand

  4. well not exactly.

we had this french exchange student and he didnt liek chinese people...

and htey dont like obese people either.

    thats just like a generalization.

it depends on where you go.

  5. No they aren't. The most accepting people are mostly the poor ones and that takes the Western Europe out of the quotation.

PS. It is good and brave of the green brain to admit his reporting. But there is always more of those reporting naz** to wipe your questions. No tolerances at all.

  6. Your main question is a generalization which I cannot accept. I am European native, worked together during my military service as member of the NATO Headquarters with soldiers of the USA, Canada, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Italy, Spain, Greek, and Turkey and never had any problem nationwhise, since I always respected their peculiarities.
