I have a Winchester 1300 (Deer Slug) non-rifled, shotgun and wish to take the barrel down to the legal 18+" and add a pistol & forgrip. Do the same grips advertised for the "Defender" fit the "Deer Slug" gun ? Stamped on barrel is (2.3/4" & 3") and on the very bottom of the barrel it's staped (Deer Slug). Shot gun is not being used for hunting anymore.

  1. The barrel is not the deciding factor.

The receiver is the deciding factor.

    The Winchester 1300 is a Winchester 1300

What you have is a "Heavy Barrel" on it.

The only difference in the Slug Gun and the regular defender is the barrel and maybe the number of shells it holds.

I would buy a new barrel and not cut your slug barrel

If you have the 8 round defender here is a good deal on the barrel.

I do NOT have a financial interest in the above company
