Question:

Are YOU Racist?

by  |  earlier

0 LIKES UnLike

With all the Obama stuff, I figured I'd ask a question about race for a change.

A lot of people claim not to be racist BUT really are. So please take my "ARE you racist test" and answer these questions:

1. Your race?

2. Would you date outside your race? why / why not?

3. Would you marry outside your race? why / why not?

4. Are their certain races you would avoid romance with? Which ones?

5. Are you afraid of your kids looking a certain way?

6. Have you ever told a racist joke?

7. Do you believe in such a thing as "acting your race"?

8. Do you care what family, friends and society think about your romantic partner? Why?

9. Do you think Obama is Black, white or mixed? Why or why not?

Have fun....

    5. no, my child is beautiful.

    6. i live in the south, so maybe when i was a kid. i haven't since i learned better.

    7. no, that's dumb. that's like telling someone, "act like a woman" or "act like a man". too many generalizations.

    8. no. my man is not mainstream even though he is white. he has 7 LARGE tattoos, including one that covers half of the back of his head. i love him, he's a great guy and everyone that meets him know that he's awesome.

    9. he's mixed, right? i thought his parents were different races. he is whatever he claims to be, to me. i don't care.

    so, what about you Mike?

EDIT: no, i think being half-white makes you half-white and being half-black makes you half-black. other than that, i think it depends on what race you relate to the most.

EDIT: wtf? 4 thumbs down? why?

  8. 1. Your race?  Hindu Indian

    2. Would you date outside your race? why / why not?  Dating is not very common where I live.

    3. Would you marry outside your race? why / why not?  I am already married.  If I could have had an arranged marriage with a foriegner, yes.

    4. Are their certain races you would avoid romance with? Which ones?  None

    5. Are you afraid of your kids looking a certain way?  Yes I want my kids to look at least a little bit like me.

    6. Have you ever told a racist joke?  All the time.

    7. Do you believe in such a thing as "acting your race"?  Yes I act like a sand ****** all the time.

    8. Do you care what family, friends and society think about your romantic partner? Why?  Yes I do.  One is defined by the partner one keeps in an arranged marriage.  If you are worth it, you get a good partner, socially, finacially and educationally good.

    9. Do you think Obama is Black, white or mixed? Why or why not?

He is black.  Because he looks like a charred rabbit, not a bit like a skinned rabbit.  I look like a rosted rabbit.

  9. 1- Middle Eastern--although they call it white under the technical qualifications.

2- Yes. Connection/attraction knows no color.

    3- See above

4- I'm usually not attracted to Asians, Hispanics or Middle Easterns (I think it's mutual).  But if I was attracted to one, why not?

5- As long as they got my genes in 'em, they're all set!

6- Yes--I ain't that uptight--besides, I make fun of all races equally when it's humorous...my own more than others.

7- I think it's more acting according to your "culture" than "race."

    8- No. If I did, I wouldn't have married a black man.

9- Black.  I can make up some reasons but it's just a feeling I get.  Halle & Alicia who are of mixed race are black to me too.

    It was fun, thanks :)

    EDIT:

Oh, I'm probably racist.  I usually care more about issues involving  races that have suffered or been oppressed.  It's a major part of me to identify with the underdog. Sue me.

  10. 1. Your race?

    A. mulatto (half black, half white)

    2. Would you date outside your race? why / why not?

    A. no, because i know that he is amazing.

    9. Do you think Obama is Black, white or mixed? Why or why not?

    8. No (although she is white!)

    9. Who cares, as long as people vote for him, or don't vote for him, on his merits or lack thereof. I would hate to see him win OR LOSE this election because of the colour of his skin. It shouldn't be an issue, but I know it will.

  13. your question is very flawed.

lots of racist white men date and even marry outside their race.

its a matter of control and supremacy over others.

  14. It is great to see Lioness the anti-Semite give her opinion.

    2. Yes, because if I was interested in dating, I wouldn't be picky.  I'd want to date someone with whom I could truly get along.

    3. Yes, but only if I got along with the guy's family.  If I don't get along with the family, marriage would never work.

    4. No, not at all.  If I was to avoid someone, it would be for more important reasons than skin color.

    5. I never want to have kids.  But if I did, I'd just want my kids to be healthy, normal humans with all their body parts.

    6. No, but I think I repeated one I heard.  However, I'm not 100% sure.

    7. No.  To me 'acting' a race is just another way of being a living stereotype.

    8. To an extent, yes.  If people told me things about the person, I'd keep the information in the back of my mind, and find out the truth for myself.

Whether you judge someone quickly or scared of someone because of what they look like. Thats life. Who cares. Just be you.

  19. 1) I'm mixed Caucasian and Asian

    2) Every date I've ever had is out of my "race" because I no longer have one... it's actually kind of a relief

    3) See above. I don't care at all! I couldn't, unless I wanted to live alone (I don't).

    4) No because that would make me an awful person who went against the years of lessons of equality that were taught in my parents' home just growing up and learning that everyone is really the same

    5) Nope! My kids probably won't look anything like me, anyway. I'm Russian, French and Chinese and look almost entirely Russian with "east asian" hair texture and skin tone... and my fiance is Japanese, so I'm fully expecting little sumos in the future.

    6) Yes. Often about Asians and Europeans. :D

    7) Nope! I don't have one! I don't act like anything but me. And neither do any monoracial people. They are all themselves. No such concept at all except on tv where they forcefeed us tons of twisted information and lies.

    5. no.

    6. er not that i remember...if i did it may have been back in my younger days..

    7. kind of hard to say...if a black person is raised around white ppl is he still expected to " act" his own race just because he is black? i think it more or less has to do with being who you are...and just being yourself.

    8. no..i dont care..as long as he is a good man..why the h**l should i care?

    9.he is mixed.

as an added bonus ....I will be honest and say..that I have been raised around racists...I try to avoid being like that as much as possible.  but sometimes how you are raised and who you are raised by can sometimes rear its ugly little head.

Like one time a black man was being very insulting to me....usually i keep my cool..but that day..i called him to N word out of anger. I felt bad after I did it..much later. At the time I was much to angry to apologize..and To be honest I never did. I only spoke to him once anyhow. I know me being angry does not excuse what I did...but I wasnt thinking right either.

but to be even more honest...I have only come across very few ppl of different races who treated me badly...in all honesty its mostly ppl from my own race that make me feel pretty inferior. besides one of the people I loved the most as a kid was a black woman named Faustina...i wanted her to be my gramma more than i wanted my own gramma. I loved her...she called me her " baby girl"
