  1. Well, I like to think of my self as a good driver; I've had my license for 32 years, and am a safe award driver.

I have seen a plenty of bad drivers in my life time... Young, and old! ;-)

  2. I'd like to think I'm an okay to good  driver...

    Over 10 years of driving

    No Accidents

    Only 1 speeding ticket

Maybe I drive too fast, but still drive about the same speed as other cars.

The worst thing other drivers do is not looking at mirrors....When they merge, change lanes and when they're in the fast lane driving too slow.....they just don't care about people behind them or next to them.

  3. i try to be a safe driver-use my directional signals, do not tailgate, etc. but i have made a few mistakes- no accidents, tho.

  4. I practice safety by not crashing my truck into other vehicles.Paying attention helps.Concentrate on driving not lunch, phone, kidsor any othe distractions.Ive seen people driving down the road watching TV. Really.

  5. Safe all the time and ticket and accident free for over 25 years.

Relax. Take a deep breath, chat with a companion, listen to music. Getting stressed and upset will probably not get you there any faster and it might shorten your life.

Don't drive when you are angry, upset or overly tired.

Plan ahead to avoid the worst congestion and allow yourself plenty of time.

Go ahead and be late. It won't kill you to be 10 minutes late for an appointment but it might very well kill you or a fellow motorist if you drive aggressively.

Driving should not be a race. Unless you are driving a race car on a privately owned track, leave your competitive instincts at home.

Treat others the way you would like to be treated. Courteous driving encourages other drivers to be courteous. Aggressive driving influences others to drive aggressively.

What I have seen others do is just the opposite of the above.

  6. sure everyone is

  7. I'm both. I'm a very safe driver because I know just how bad a driver I am. I know all of my mistakes, therefore I know all the mistakes other drivers can and will make, so I can avoid them.

Also I use the practice of paranoid driving. Like defensive driving, except instead of watching for danger, assume the danger is already there. Every car is out to get you, all other drivers are total idiots, and they WILL do everything they can to hit you. It works quite well.

  8. knock wood i think i'm a safe driver. although i've only had my license since age 30 i haven't been pulled over for anything. i was rear ended while stopped. when i know where i'm going i get in the correct lane and stay there i don't weave in and out of traffic. i use my signals. as far as what i've seen for bad driving habits people who drive like crazy pass in no passing zones only to end up at the same place as you at the same time. cutting people off just to get somewhere 1 second faster. when it rains and there is a lot of water on the road people not slowing down for the conditions. i could go on but i don't want to bore you to death.
