Are You Embarrassed By The Music We Are Leaving Behind?

I have always been a fan of music. But lately I've been comparing our current music with the music our parents generation left behind. I mean look at we have, washed up pop stars and rappers singing about drugs,s*x,money and killing. What happened to the days when Rap was poetry and your views on life? Now its all c**p. We cant go to weeks without hearing about Britney Spears getting in a car crash.

Our parents left The Beatles,AC/DC,Twisted Sister, and to many other great artist to name. We on the other hand have probably less then 30 great songs in the the last 5 years.

If your going to post about how Rap is awesome and im going to get jumped for criticism I will be happy to report your post.

Well, rap isn't the only music we're leaving behind. There is also pop. And remember, there are Rock songs about drugs and/or s*x. But, I agree with you. Our generation's Rap isn't that great.

I agree you with you somewhat. Our parents generation did have some great artists but ours does too. Look at artists like Jack Johnson or John Mayer. If you listen to any of the music nowadays besides rap you can find some great music.

I completely agree. We aren't leaving music that's going to survive through the generations to come. It's all about the now, and what's hot on the market.
