Are You Fed Up With The Price Of Gas?

If you are, what are you doing about it. Looking for tips and ideas to off-set the cost and how to cut down on usage.

I ride my motorcycle as much as possible.  I ride in the rain and cold.  I use my bicycle for errands.  I combine trips.  I used my motorcycle and cargo trailer today to haul six 40 pound bags of weed-n-feed for the lawn.  I use driving techniques from the hpyermilers.  I drive/ride slower.  I will be looking at a better gas mileage car or hybrid.  Unable to commute to work with my bicycle.  Simply too dangerous.  I have waiting in the wings a dual sport motorcycle that will turn in gas mileage in the 50 plus range.

I also want to look at a reel type grass mower.  Uses no gas and will give me a bit of a work out.

That's about all I can do presently.  I have reduced my gas consumption by more than half since March.

I downgraded my vehicle from a 93' GMC sierra (with the 350 engine) to a 04' VW Bug to save gas because of my long commute from home to school, work, etc.

I'm just not going as many places now.  Just to work and home and trying to combine errands as much as possible.

This is awful!  I just bought an SUV last year and will be paying on it for a long time and now I can't really go anywhere!  But, that's my fault - I should have never bought an SUV!

I'm getting my son's car repaired (a Neon) and will drive that.  It gets awesome gas mileage!!

What if we all WALK, or CARPOOL to work on WEDNESDAYS to cut cost on GAS?

If nobody bought gas on wednesday's and either walked, rode bike, carpooled, bus, or other, we could put a huge dent on gas prices!!! if everybody that reads this passes the info along and copies and pastes it in email to every one in their contact list, eventually more people would catch on to the fad and gas prices would eventually drop.

4 days a month is HUGE.

Lets all come together and do something about this RECESSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No. I'm sick of all the pointless whining. Prices have been going up since I started driving, and gas was .27 Cents back then.

Buy a chevy and then you will gas for 3 dollars for 3 years

h**l YES. Who isn't? I bought a hybrid, u should do the same, That way, u won't have to fill up as much while doing the environment a favor. Paying for one may be a problem, but u could just sell your current car.
