  1. Yes,my neighbors are very good to me.I'm busy painting and papering right now,and one of them mowed the lawn since they knew I was overly busy. They always help me move furniture or something, they are very nice to me.

  2. Most of my neighbors are fine.  The guy who lives across the street from me, however, is unemployed and drinks alcohol from the moment he wakes up to the moment he goes to bed.  My mother visits my house frequently and keeps her dog there while she's at work, and he consistently flips her off, calls her derogatory names -- all because in one of his drunken tirades, he was so loud and obnoxious that a neighbor called the police on him, and he assumed it was my mother (who does not live anywhere near him and was not even there when this happened).  Other than him, my neighborhood is fine -- a middle-class starter neighborhood.  We have our share of juvenile crime (egging cars, breaking windows -- but no real theft), but so does everyone else.

  3. I hate my neighbors.

  4. Most of my neighbors are extraordinary people.  When my husband was taken by ambulance to the hospital with heart problems, they were a god send.  The mowed our lawn, cared for our dogs, made me meals, went to the store to pick up provisions and perscriptions, took our trash to the curb and in general were helpful and thoughtful.  In addition, when disaster strikes, like the San Diego fires, we all work together to make sure our elderly and disabled or special needs neighbors have the supplies they need and help them evacuate.  I do have one issue with a neighbor who has 4 dogs, leaves them outside all hours of the day and night and allows them to bark incessantly.  In terms of safety, we watch out for each other.  Those of us who work from home watch the homes of those who don't.  We have a community police officer who cruises the neighborhood regularly, police, fire and emergency response times that are faster than in any other city I've ever lived in.
