Question:

Are You Kidding Me Gas Prices?

Please tell me that gas will only be $3.07 for one day...Please?!

I wouldn't be surprised if in one year, every average American just left and moved to say Brazil, leaving only the rich living in America. That's pretty much how people running this country want it to be anyway.

  1. every 1 day till bush is out of office

  2. Right on!

i was driving one day, when i passed a station with

    3.15 for regular.

    RIDICULOUS.

ur probably right about every american moving out..

except i would want to go to Alaska instead..

    not as crowded, u know?

  3. Its known as supply and demand. Demand for oil is skyrocketing in China, India, Vietnam and other developing countries as they move from an agrarian economy to an industrialized economy.

OPEC (Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries) has slowed oil sales, exacerbating the problem.

Venezuela has stopped selling oil to the U.S.A.

Environmentalists are effectively blocking oil exploration in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge even though less than 1/10 of 1% of the Refuge would be affected.

Environmentalists have blocked the design and construction of new petroleum distillation facilities.

Environmentalists have blocked the design and construction of nuclear electric generating stations - while decrying strip mining and the burning of coal, oil and natural gas to generate electricity.

Americans consume billions of bottles of water every year - bottles made from petroleum and requiring large amounts of energy to manufacture. Then we must consider the fuel wasted in transporting this bottled water from the production facilities to the wholesalers to the store where they are purchased. Its anybody's guess as to how many of these empty bottles are then recycled. My guess is less than 30% - the rest are in landfills and on the side of the road or scattered throughout our parks and natute preserves.

    Get the point?

  4. Just pumped for $3.55.   This ain't temporary.

And environmentalists have nothing to do with it. Blame the new wealth and middle class in India and China, two nations with EIGHT TIMES our population, all who want the American lifestyle and can afford it.  Imagine if suddenly there were 9 times as many people trying to line up for the same gas pumps - what do you THINK would happen?

Blame the fact too that all the easy oil has been pumped from the ground (you may recall paying less than a dollar a gallon for it.) and now every next gallon gets harder and harder.  We're not going to "run out of oil" but the cost of mining that oil will become prohibitive.

  5. 3.29  here

  6. hey you americans are lucky!

here in australia, we pay about $1.40 AU per liter of normal petrol. that is about the same as $4.09 US per gallon!

    so you americans CANT complain!!!!

we have got it way way worse over here, so stop your winging, and realize you have it rather cheap!!!

  7. get ready for 4$ gallon.

heck Europeans been paying more for years.

    do not like it ?

demand ur congress person start drilling in USA.
