  1. My mother's maiden name was Noble and my father was often described as being a character. Perhaps this does make me a Noble-Character (?)

  2. You are of noble nirth if you are born into a noble, or aristocratic, family.

To be a person of noble character suiggests you have the qualities it was once assumed those of noble birth had ~ courage, honesty, honour, courtesy, wit and wisdom among others.

In today's world, we no longer assume that only people with blue blood have these qualities, but we've also come to question just what some of these qualities mean ...

Too often 'honour' has come to mean a group of people behaving badly but not telling on each other, and courage now seems to be little more than the ability to hit a high note when singing, or kick a ball into a goal.

We've also come to recognise that it's easy to be 'noble' when you have a vast unearned fortune at your convenience, and that there must be a better way to measure character than to compare someone to a member of the idle rich class.

Kindness, to oneself and others is perhaps the most difficult, and most admirable of virtues.

If you strive to do what is right, and treat others as you would like to be treated, then you are very probably a person of noble character, even if your name does not begin with 'Lord' (or even if it does, lol!).

    Cheers :-)

  3. Do you have a pet? a dog? In my view the best way to explain what noble is ,is noticing how your dog gets back to you after you've punished him or told him off for whatever reason. There is also the idea of the "noble son", as the one who cares for his parents, a noble friend the one who still cares for you even if you upset him. I hope am making sense!

  4. Oh if you knew happy valentines day

  5. Nobless oblige means it all.
