I was just now listening to the Republican Convention (10:30 EST) and the panel of Republican politicians were asked to imagine a “Sam” Palin who’s credentials were limited to being a good student with a BA in Communications from a college in Idaho, a Mayor of a city of 6,500, and a Governor for just over a year and a half. The question was would McCain have picked such a man as a running mate. Every one of the Republicans politicians on the stage said McCain would NOT pick a man with such limited qualifications.

  1. Palin still has more qualifications than the top of the Obama ticket.

  2. She's got credentials. Nice knockers and a killer booty.

  3. The woman has an degree in journalism for christ sake.I dont know how that could prepare her for the Oval Office

  4. No, I'm not.

This only validates even more that McCain picked Palin based on her gender.

  5. He was smart to go with a woman!

Obama is a joke and it wont be funny if he is elected. Remember his mom was 17 when she had him and where was he born? Yeah prove it and where did he grow up?! Yeah that's exactly who I want running my country! I'm not a huge McCain fan but I would rather have a US born and raised citizen running this county!

  6. So he just picked her b/c she's a woman?

Listen the democrats can't bring up the experience issue. That just brings up their candidate, the junior senator from ill. and community planner, with only two years of legislative (not executive) experience. And he's running for the #1 job, not #2.

So, the bottom line is; Republicans are excited, christians are excited and independents are excited, thus the left should be worried.

Just a little fact; a governor makes more decisions in a week than a senator does in a year. -6th grade Social Studies.

  7. She has had more influence in Alaska than BO has had in Illinois (i live in IL)... she has a lot of life experience and is a caring human being, which would be a nice change in the white house.

  8. This is the same question only a different person. Would Obama be where he is if he were white and the anwser is a resounding NO.

  9. Not shocked or surprised at all

  10. Not shocked.  He picked her because she wears a skirt plain and simple.

  11. You guys picked Obama.  'Nuff said.

  12. Seriously?  I'm shocked they'd fall for that obvious a trick question.

  13. Clearly true.

  14. Maybe having all of these highly educated lawyers is why things are so screwed up , when ever you need to deal with the government.

  15. no really, anything can happen in this election.

  16. Not shocked.  McCain had his reasons for picking Sarah Palin, pro-life stand, gun rights advocate, woman, etc.  He would not have picked a man with her experience even if he had the same political leanings.

  17. And yet that Sam Palin would still be a better qualified person than Obama is for the running.

  18. So why did the Dems pick O Bamba a totally unqualified narcissistic charlatan.

  19. No, I'm not.

She's an ex-beauty queen/sports journalist.  How dare McCain put her just one heartbeat away from ruining this country even further.

And check this out.  McCain's spokesperson was asked what makes her ready to be commander-in-chief.  And he was stumped.  Look at the video:

  20. I'm not shocked that members of McCain's own party have questions about how and why he picked Palin for a running mate. It's important to all their careers to want to seek their party win in November and they want the best person they can get. I'm glad those guys on the stage were actually being honest.

  21. not shocked at all. I think he was trying to endear himself to the women vote especially after Obama alienated the Hilary contingent

  22. and.........if her daughter was Obama's black daughter the Neocon  fundementalist line would be very different.  How convenient that now out of wedlock pregnancy is a gift from God.

  23. So? What's your point. Of course one of the reasons he picked her was because she's a woman. So what.

  24. Theres obviously a difference between picking a woman because she is the best candidate and picking a woman for the sake of winning an election.

  25. I am shocked that a group of Republican Politicians told the truth.

  26. I'm not shocked. It's typical pandering to get votes. McCain is desperately trying to woo the Hillary Clinton voters and I think the whole thing is going to backfire big time.

I agree though and I thought the same thing, a man with these qualifications wouldn't have even been considered. In fact, far more qualified female governors weren't even considered. Odd choice.
