Are Zebras a type of horse that is wild like a wolf compared to a dog or if not how closely are they related?

Zebras are part of the horse family. They can be bred together, but the young are sterile, where if you breed a wolf and a dog the young can still reproduce. It has to do with how many chromosomes they have I think.

They are in the same Family Equus.  They are as closely related to horses as donkeys.  So they can be bred, but they will creat a hybrid called a Zorse that is sterile.

I dont think they are as closly related as a wolf to a dog. As to what degree though, I am not sure.
