I've seen a lot of feminist talking about how great and able Palin is even though she stands for a lot of things that they are against, especially the abortion issue. One very mouthy pro choice advocate can't stop singing her praises....What gives?

  1. i really like palin, before she was picked liked obama, now not sure, i like what she stands for, i can trust her, obama i'm not quite sure, but somehow i know i can trust palin.

  2. Not the ones I know.  We are all wondering what McCain could have been thinking.  I don't think he understood what women wanted.  It was a sad attempt.

  3. Nope, I'm supporting Obama.  I would like to keep my reproductive rights.  Besides, what the h**l does she know, she's from ALASKA!

  4. I, for one, wouldn't hesitate to tear her to pieces.

She's a strong woman. Fantastic. So is Ann Coulter, and I can't stand her either.

For me, it's mainly her stance against g*y rights. Not g*y marriage, but g*y rights. She vetoed a measure that would give same-s*x partners of Alaska state employees insurance coverage.

    That's just ridiculous.

I'll never understand those who put forth that much effort for the only purpose of making other people unhappy.

  5. Yes many Hillary supporters are bitter that she is not the democratic nominee. This just proves that women aren't as smart as men. They are jumping to the McCain ticket simply because Palin is a woman. Makes me glad Obama will be the next president and not Hillary.

  6. A feminist that votes for Palin because she is a woman is an idiot.  If you want a woman in the president or vice president's office get one who is compitent.  She will only make feminist voters a laughing stock.

  7. Every feminist I know is insulted that McCain would choose her and expect her to get him votes simply because she's a woman.  Her position on the issues speaks louder than her gender.

  8. Of course not! Palin is the antithesis of women's rights! She wants to ban abortion even in cases of rape and incest, doesn't want to give s*x education in schools, and wants Creationism to be taught in schools, too. If she's VP, or one day President, our country will be full of ignorant pregnant people because of lack of s*x education, and we'll have tons of babies with birth defects because women won't be able to get an abortion when there was incest! No self-respecting woman would support Palin!

  9. Admitting that someone is competent is not the same thing as supporting them. Hitler was a great at leading, in the sense that he got tons of people to listen to everything he said, but that doesn't mean that he was a great leader.

  10. do you think they have principals?  they just somehow believe that if there is an important feminine figure in politics, they will also be more important.

go ahead.  give me thumbs down

  11. Acknowledging that someone is competent doesn't translate into a vote.

  12. I don't think so. I see the exact opposite. I see most feminists saying how silly and obvious an attempt it is at pandering. I don't know any women or "feminists" that are voting for McCain that weren't going to before the VP announcement. Of course, that's precious few of them anyway.

    Obama '08

  13. Certainly not me. It would be stupid to vote for someone I disagree with just because she's female, so I won't

  14. Yes, I'm torn because I'm so stupid that I'm actually willing to vote against my own party because the Republican candidate picked a VP with ovaries.

    *Runs screaming into the night*

  15. OMG  absolutely NOT.  Do you really think that feminists and/or hard core female democrats are all going to FLOCK to McCain now...because he picked some ex-mayor from a TINY town in Alaska who only has about 18 months in a higher political office???

His choice of a woman with "no experience" (something the repubs have been spitting and sputtering about Obama for the last year, by the way!)  is SO transparent!!  LOL   It's laughable.

I think Palin was a HUGE political blunder... and I can't wait until it bites McCain in the balls!

  16. This is self explanatory. The deference in ideology keeps most feminists for voting for McCain.

  17. First, she does not want to force Intelligent Design to be taught in schools.  She would like to have both evolution and creationism taught side by side.  She thinks the topic should spark a healthy debate, but she never wanted religion to be a litmus test.

Second, only the Supreme Court can over turn Roe V Wade.  Not one President has over turned the decision, nor has the supreme court.  Maybe women should stop using abortion as a form of birth control and take the necessary precautions to avoid pregnancy.  Abortion should only be used as a medical emergency or in the case of rape.  And yes, Palin does support it in those cases.

Third, the critics should look at her record before judging her so harshly.  They might like her, but then that would go against their democratic ways.

I disagree with feminists of today.  You don't want equality, you want it all and look down your noses at those of us that see ourselves as being truly equal to the males of our species.  Letting a man open a door or pull out a chair does not weaken me or my s*x.

  18. I think so.

Both of the candidates did the same thing. Obama took a Democratic McCain with age and experience. McCain went for the Republican Clinton look alike.

Obama will grab supporters looking for an experienced politician and McCain will grab the bitter Clinton supporters who want a woman in the White House.

  19. Palin wants to see Intelligent Design taught in High School.

She wants the US to continue as a nation of retards.

    Yay Palin!
