i'm going to italy in late sept and am wondering if it's worth the extra $$ to use a service to reserve tickets at museums (ie., the Uffizi in Florence, the Galleria Borghese in Rome). just how bad are the waiting lines at that time of year?

  1. It's definitely worth to book in advance to visit Uffizi in Florence (the queue is really really long), the same for the Ultima Cena (alias Il Cenacolo) by Leonardo da Vinci. I can't help you about the Galleria Borghese because I don't know it. Have a nice stay in Italy

  2. if you dont get your tickets for the Uffizi ahead of time you will not get in and it doesnt matter when you go. There is always a line of people trying to get in there everytime I have gone there and most stand in line all day and still do not get in. Because they only allow so many in at a time and in one day. I dont know about the Borghese i've never been there. I use www.selectitaly.com to get my tickets for the uffizi.

  3. Yes, you probably won't get in the Uffizi at all without them...may not need them for Borghese -- Everyone going to Florence is trying to go to the Uffizi -- in Rome there are hundreds of other places to go.
